Barry 3rd party blog articles

This article shares how to manage 3rd party articles for Barry Investment Advisors

  • Whitney sends a new article to us by email. This may be an article or it may be a YouTube video.
  • One of our writers reviews the content and writes a title and short blog post for the material.
  • We also find and download a good image from iStock for the blog's featured image.
  • We then send the image, title, and blog post body back to Whitney and Lauren Lennehan, an example of which is shown below.
  • Whitney and Lauren take care of posting it to the Barry website and our role in the process is done once the email is sent. They typically don't reply to our email. Once we send them the email the process is complete unless they request a change (which is infrequent).

Whitney and Lauren,

Hope this message finds you both doing well!

Thank you,
Logan

What this iconic satire can teach us about market speculation
From the 1929 Marx Brothers film “Cocoanuts”, this iconic auction scene is a satirical take on the Florida land boom of the 1920s. During the auction scene, property salesmen are trying to sell plots of land to the hotel guests. However, the Marx Brothers repeatedly bid on the properties, causing chaos and confusion amongst the salesmen and guests, and driving over-inflated valuations on the undeveloped land. Although the scene is comedy, it accurately symbolizes the boom-bust phenomena seen in many market cycles throughout history.
